To continually train and prepare our internal and external stakeholders to provide an effective response to all emergencies or disasters.

The Florida Department of Health in Duval County (DOH-Duval) Emergency Preparedness Office is actively involved in planning and responding to the public health needs of the community during an emergency or disaster. Priorities of DOH-Duval are to assure the delivery of essential medical and public health services are maintained or restored following a disaster and that assistance is provided to meet emergency needs of the affected population.
