The Florida Department of Health in Duval County (DOH-Duval) Environmental Health Healthy Beaches Program monitors the quality of Duval County beaches by sampling and testing water samples collected from the ocean along the shore from close to St. Johns County (Jacksonville Beach) to Nassau County (Little Talbot Island). The beach water quality monitoring is completed on a bi-weekly basis from March through October. The ocean water samples are tested for bacteria. Bacteria can be an indicator of pollution that may cause illness to swimmers. The results are posted on the Florida Department of Health website for easy access and viewing.

To see the results, please visit the Beach Water Quality in Florida page on the Florida Department of Health website.
