The Florida Department of Health in Duval County's (DOH-Duval) Community Health Programs serve as an advocate to improve the health status of the Jacksonville community through education, prevention, and partnerships. Through its services the division emphasizes growth, nutrition, development, and mental and physical health of mother and child from prenatal care to postpartum care.
The Community Health Programs division is dedicated to meeting the ongoing and changing needs of pregnant and postpartum women, parents, infants, and children.
Services include Healthy Start, Family Planning Education and Outreach, and School Health.
