The Florida Department of Health in Duval County (DOH-Duval) is informing residents of a confirmed locally-acquired West Nile Virus infection. This is the fourth human West Nile Virus infection reported in Duval County in 2024. DOH-Duval and City of Jacksonville Mosquito Control are coordinating surveillance and prevention efforts by aerial and ground spraying as well as increased inspections in affected areas.
