- Health education and preventative services at our local clinics and various community-based organizations for sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, pregnancy counseling and birth control counseling.
- Initiatives promoting unintended pregnancy awareness, and prevention strategies for STIs.
- HIV/AIDS risk reduction through both comprehensive and abstinence-based sexual health education.
- Training Peer Health Advocates (PHAs), youth and young adults ages 15-24, to provide peer-to-peer sexual health education and prevention messages through peer-to-peer engagement.
- Provide education surrounding best practices for adolescent sexual and reproductive healthcare.
- Clinical training and education opportunities for providers/staff.
- Human trafficking education and advocacy to end human trafficking.
- Participation with various partners in Jacksonville.
Peer Health Advocacy Initiative
Identification, enlistment, and training of PHAs and adolescents to promote risk reduction, safer sex, and increased health care seeking behaviors among their peers and other young adults (ages 15-24), through conversation and prevention messages.
Male Reproductive and Sexual Health Education
- Male-focused preconception and interconception education sessions to reduce sexual health risks and increase clinical access to reproductive health services.
- Community outreach initiatives designed to target and engage males.
- Leadership development & training that addresses decision-making skills, conflict resolution, building healthy relationships, and building self-esteem.
