The mission and vision of the Hepatitis Prevention Program is to prevent the transmission and eliminate viral hepatitis in Florida. To achieve this, the current strategy of the program is to test adults at risk for hepatitis B, and hepatitis C, diagnose them, vaccinate for hepatitis A and B, and ensure that they are linked to care.

The Epidemiology Program at the Florida Department of Health in Duval County offers No-cost testing, vaccination, education, and linkage to care services to those at risk:

  • Chronic Hepatitis Panel Testing
  • Hepatitis A and B Vaccinations
  • Linkage to Hepatitis Treatment
  • Outreach and Education Services.
