MEASLES
Measles (rubeola) is an illness caused by a contagious virus, rubeola. Measles is spread through the air when an infected person breathes, coughs, or sneezes. The virus may remain active in the air or on surfaces for up to two hours.
Because measles is extremely contagious, if 10 people without immunity are exposed, up to 9 may get sick. It can lead to serious complications like pneumonia or, rarely, brain swelling (encephalitis).

MeMeningococcal Disease
Meningococcal Disease can be referred to any illness that is caused by the type of bacteria called Neisseria meningitidis, also known as meningococcus. These illnesses are often severe and include infections of the lining of the brain and spinal cord (meningitis) and bloodstream infections (bacteremia or septicemia).
Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect against meningococcal disease. Find the MenACWY vaccine by contacting a healthcare provider, county health department, or pharmacy.
Viral Hepatitis Program
The mission and vision of the Hepatitis Prevention Program is to prevent the transmission of viral hepatitis and eliminate viral hepatitis in Florida. To achieve this, the current strategy of the program is to test adults at risk for hepatitis B and hepatitis C, diagnose them, and ensure that they are linked to care.
Hepatitis A is a highly contagious, short-term liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus. Getting vaccinated and practicing good hand hygiene are the best ways to protect against hepatitis A.
Mpox
Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) is a disease caused by infection with a virus, known as Monkeypox virus. This virus is part of the same family as the virus that causes smallpox. People with mpox often get a rash, along with other symptoms. The rash will go through several stages, including scabs, before healing. Mpox is not related to chickenpox.
The JYNNEOS vaccine is a 2-dose vaccine developed to protect against Mpox and smallpox infections. People need to get both doses of the vaccine for the best protection against Mpox. The second dose should be given 4 weeks after the first dose. Vaccination is an important tool in stopping the spread of Mpox.
