The Florida Department of Health in Duval County's Refugee Program provides services for people coming to the U.S.  Once here, refugees are offered a health assessment within 90 days of their arrival (or 90 days of becoming eligible for services) at no charge to them, including vaccinations needed for adjustment of immigration status. Refugees with identified health conditions are referred to primary care physicians and specialists for follow-up healthcare. Refugee Health Case Managers assist with identified health conditions in accessing and navigating the healthcare system.
