Ending the HIV Epidemic starts with knowing your status. Knowing your HIV status lets you take charge of your health. You can also take charge by knowing your treatment options if you have HIV.
2019 Data for Area 4
(Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. John’s Counties)
- 331 people were diagnosed with HIV
- 7,565 people were living with HIV and 4,054 people were living with AIDS
- Among people newly diagnosed with HIV, 86.7% were in care within 90 days
- Among people with HIV, 82.9% were receiving treatment
- 78.2% of people in treatment had a suppressed viral load
National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is observed each year on June 27. NHTD is held to encourage people to get tested for HIV and know their status. DOH-Duval is also helping individuals who are living with HIV get connected to treatment.
