- Any woman who has sex is at risk of HIV infection, no matter her race, ethnicity, age, or sexual orientation. Protect yourself and your partner every time by using a condom.
- If you do not have HIV and your partner does, talk to your doctor about pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). PrEP is a daily pill that can reduce your risk of getting HIV.
- Never share needles, syringes, or other injection equipment.
- Help fight the stigma! Support family and friends living with HIV or AIDS. Inform others that you cannot get HIV from things like the air, toilet seats, or hugs.
- The only way to know if you have HIV is to get tested.
