Breastfeeding is a gift a society gives their children. The World Health Organization, Academy of Pediatrics, Surgeon General and CDC recognize breastfeeding as the perfect food for infants. The program WIC breastfeeding program strives to increase the initiation and duration of breastfeeding among women. The program provides free services to WIC clients and some non WIC clients:

  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultants
  • Certified Lactation Counselor
  • Breastfeeding Peer Counselors
  • Breastfeeding Socials
  • Loan of Electric Breast pumps for NICU infants and other medical needs
  • Breast pumps provided for clients going back to work or school who are exclusively breastfeeding

For more information on breastfeeding initiatives or questions regarding locating a breastfeeding consultant, please call 904-253-2361 or call the Breastfeeding Warmline at 904-253-2083.
